sustainability.

AKSO Marine Biotech Inc., founded in 1983, is a leading dry sea cucumber company with a long history of processing in Canada. Since 2016, AKSO has been focusing on the research and development of bioactive ingredients and natural health products from wild caught Atlantic sea cucumber (Cucumaria frondosa) and other marine materials. All of AKSO’s materials are obtained and processed in a natural and sustainable manner.

AKSO is located in Hacketts Cove, Nova Scotia, where Atlantic Sea Cucumber Ltd. processes the highest quality wild sea cucumber caught fresh from the coastal waters of Atlantic Canada. Taking advantage of a shared facility, AKSO can produce high quality ingredients from the first-class raw materials that have been flash frozen from the moment they were caught to maintain freshness.
